Welcome to Ericacobb.com! As much as I share every morning on the radio there’s still some things about me that you may not know… So if you’re STILL interested, read on…
I am a Chicago girl, born and raised, the daughter of a college professor and a funeral director - Yes, it makes for an interesting combination! I am a 2004 graduate of DePaul University in Chicago where I majored in Communication and minored in American Studies. I was also a 3-year member of the Demonette Dance Team where we cheered and danced at all home Blue Demons Men’s and Women’s basketball games!
During my time at DePaul I really tried to do everything time and opportunity would allow. So I signed with 2 modeling & talent agencies (Aria, which later became Ford, and Shirley Hamilton) and started booking commercial print jobs appearing in ads for clients like: Ebony & Complete Woman Magazines, Galyans and McDonalds. I also interned at KISS (WKSC-FM/Chicago) in 2001 for the “Pyke at Night” show and later became a sidekick on Java Joel’s “Rubber Room.”
In October of 2005 I received a call from B96 (WBBM-FM/Chicago). They were looking for a Chicago girl about town to join the then 17-year running “Eddie and Jobo” Morning Show. This was a dream come true - I literally grew up listening to Eddie and Jobo. Being a part of their show was the most terrifyingly wonderful opportunity I’ve ever received! The “Eddie, Jobo & Erica Show” ran from October 2005-November 2008.
Then Denver called… This was super exciting for me, having never left Chicago, I was ready for an adventure and Denver has certainly given me many! In January of 2009 I joined the morning team at ALICE (KALC-FM/Denver) and we formed the “BJ, Howie & Erica Show” until December 2012… My adventures continued with Jammin 101.5, KS 107.5, The Wolf and my reoccurring appearances on 9NEWS!
It has been amazing rediscovering myself through new opportunities, since becoming an honorary Denverite I have learned to snowboard and competed in the bikini divisions in National Physique Committee Shows - taking first in my class at the 2010 & 2013 TOKYO JOES Colorado State Championships and even competing on the national level!
I was also a member of the Denver Nuggets in-game entertainment family, for 4 season where I could be seen on the court and jumbotron at the Pepsi Center. In May 2010 I was honored with the cover of “Outfront Colorado” magazine for their straight allies issue. Then in August 2011 I was blessed with the cover of “HERLIFE” magazine as “Denver’s Girl Power!”
Then it was time to take my talents to Sacramento, CA to be the morning co-host on the "Todd & Erica Morning Show" on CBS NOW 100.5. After 14 months of discovering my inner California Girl, I discovered a level of growth that I had never experienced before. I now know that ALL things are truly possible. Life is such a crazy journey; I like to live by the motto “Let Go, Let God,” and that’s my story for now…
